Army CX 2019-20 Season Summary

The last races of the 2019/20 season have taken place it has been a great year for the team, to summarise here is a few stats for the team

169 – Races entered by the team

16 – 1st places

14 – 2nd places

8 – 3rd places

44 – top 10

34 – top 20

Regional Leagues Positions

Capt Simon Hale – 2nd V50 Men NDCXL and 1st V50 LCXL
WO1 Jason Marriott – 4th V40 Men NDCXL
CSgt Matt Waters – 14th V40 Men Eastern league
SSgt Lorna Rodgers – 2nd V40 Ladies Eastern league
Cpl Danny Preece – 10th Senior Men Eastern league
LCpl Andy White – 4th Senior Men NDCXL and 5th Senior Men LCXL

Mr Craig Preece, who is an Army Cycling CX Ambassador and races cross has also had a great season competing in the NDCXL. He finished 5th overall in the Senior men. Also at the LCXL league he stormed to 6th Place in the senior men.

At national level we had had regular appearances by team riders who earned the following overall standing:

Capt Simon Hale – 4th V50 Men

WO1 Jason Marriott – 29th in V40 Men

Highlight of the National Trophy season was Capt Hale’s 3rd place at York.

At the Army Championship a few riders were out due to injury but we had riders on the podium.

3rd – Senior Men LCpl Andy White

1st – Masters Men WO1 Marriott

In the Inter Services race WO1 Marriott managed to fight up to 2nd place.

 

It’s been a great season with much to celebrate.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported our riders whether be it helping in the pits or cheering on around the course.

We now look forward to the next season and preparations for this have already begun.
